We met with our SS this morning to sign the variation for the change in paint colour. The original colour was taubmans "snow ballet". It is now dulux "white duck half". No administration fee! Very happy.
The cladding and eaves have been delivered.
We are getting there!

Paint issues!!!
One of the hardest choices we have had to make is chosing our internal wall paint colour.
We want a neutral "white". The only problem is there are that many whites our decision has been clouded a few times. The other problem is that Rawson only use taubmans but we really like the dulux "white duck half ". This is the colour they have in one of the display homes.
Having been around some forums, we have discovered that some people building with Rawson have elected dulux colours and then they are matched with taubmans.
A call to our SS this morning. . . paint changed with no hassle!

Meeting with SS
We met with our SS this morning.
We had a few issues to raise:
(a) Porch step
(b) Bricking to the garage
In relation to the step, we requested a variation before our plans were complete to have the width of the front step extended so it can be the same width as the porch. However, the step does not extend from one end to to the other. Our SS was good enough to agree to either replace the step with a new pre-cast step or have the brickies make a new step for us.
In relation to the garage, the top line of the garage has been finished with vertical lay. The rest of the garage is horizontal lay. Even though a metal capping will be applied, we prefer the look of the horizontal lay. Our SS will ask the brickies to change this for us.
Both these items may seem insignificant in the scheme of things but we are paying a lot of money and these little things need to be how we like it!
We are looking forward to the gutters and fascia being installed tomorrow and then the roof tiles next week.
